2. Tasks - Functions

The activities of the laboratory ensures two main functions: participation in practical teaching and supporting scientific research.

- Teaching:

+ In practical methods and skills in analyzing and evaluating pollution indicators in domestic and industrial water and wastewater.

+ Assist students in mastering skills in designing and operating water and wastewater treatment systems;  

+ Qualification and training for local environment staff with training course such as: skills in analyzing water pollution parameters, design and operation of water supply and wastewater systems.

- Research: 

+ Assistance to students with Graduation project on environmental engineering  and Thesis-environmental engineering  at final curriculum.

+ Assistance to staff and students with research activities in projects and scientific research topics.

+ Design experimental pilots for visual teaching and scientific research.

+ Research and propose processes and technologies for wastewater and supply water treatment.

+ Services to research: scientific research topics, domestic and foreign cooperation projects.

Research, construction and undertaking test experiments for teaching and scientific research.

Research on the treatment process of some types of hazardous wastewater in case as the Mekong Delta.

Research on the treatment processes of supply water (raw water) contaminated with Arsenic and salt water to treat into fresh water.

Commercialize treatment pilots: collaborate with the School Equipment Workshop to manufacture water treatment equipment, register trademarks, and so on.
