The 42nd Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS 2021) is held at the Hall of CTU's Learning Resource and took place for three days on November 22-24, 2021 by an online platform. The conference has successfully attracted more than 195 delegates from 23 foreign countries such as India, Taiwan, Korea, America, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Russia, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, SriLanka, Thailand, South Africa, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, China, Nepal, UAE, Egypt, Pakistan, and Syria.

The theme of ACRS 2021 was "Remote Sensing for Disaster Risk and Resources Degradation Reduction toward Sustainable Development". The conference provided a platform for researchers and managers to share and exchange the latest developments, research ideas, orientation and policies, international cooperation in the future, and promote remote sensing technology.

 - In addition, the Conference Organizing Committee has successfully organized the training on November 11, 2021, which was taught by experts from SERVIR Mekong with the content printed "Basic Google Earth Engine and application for Rice mapping in the Mekong Delta” and the session of GRSS TUTORIAL on "OpenEO and SAR2CUBE: Bringing SAR processing into the world of cloud computing” on November 24, 2021.

 - ACRS 2021 was organized with the efforts of the staffs, students, and researchers from the Department of Land Resources, College of Environment and Natural Resources, Can Tho University and the Asian Association on Remote Sensing Association (AARS) in the context of comprehensive distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
