- Target of education
Training engineers have the political qualities, moral character, health, ability to work collectively, qualification and ability to complete given tasks.
Preparing students for knowledge and methodology to research, plan, design, build, and implement project for resources and environment, especially, in the following areas:
- Building and carrying out biodiversity conservation project
- Environmental quality assessment
- Management and treatment of wastewater and urban and rural waste
- Environmental impact assessment
- Planning for sustainable use of resources.
- Integrated management and exploitation of natural resources and environment.
- Learning outcomes
After completing the curriculum, students should gain knowledge, skills and attitudes as the followings:
2.1. Knowledge
2.1.1 General education knowledge
- Having basic knowledge of Marxist-Leninist Philosophy, policy of Vietnamese Communist Party, health, knowledge of national defense education to meet the requirements of construction and defense of the nation.
- Having basic knowledge of general law, social sciences and humanities, natural sciences to meet the requirements of acquiring professional education knowledge.
- Having basic knowledge of English or French equivalent to the national level of A.
- Having basic knowledge of computer, office softwares and other softwares.
2.1.2 Knowledge base for environmental management
- Having knowledge of legal documents, economic tools, models and technical tools in environment and natural resources management.
- Knowledge of scientific research methodology and systemic thinking to support professional work.
2.1.3 Specialized knowledge
- Basic knowledge of soil, water, creature, energy and mineral resources,…
- Basic knowledge of soil, water and air environment.
- Having knowledge of dynamics, spread of pollutants in soil, water and air environment.
2.2. Skills
2.2.1. Hard skills
- Analyzing and evaluating current state of environment and resource, proposing measures for environmental management and sustainable use of natural resources.
- Using models and applied softwares in speciality.
- Carrying out competently techniques of environmental monitoring and environmental impact assessment.
- Having the ability to make, analysis and writing reports of research on environment and natural resources management.
2.2.2. Soft skills
- Applying knowledge of skills in teamwork and presentation.
- Foreign language: Communicating fluently in English or French. Reading and understanding specialized documents in English or French.
- Informatics: Using basic office softwares such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, exploiting and using Internet.
2.3 Attitude
- Expressing confidence and ability to work independently or in groups.
- Having sense of responsibility of citizen, attitude and proper professional ethic, sense of discipline and industrial style.
- Having scientific working methods, innovative spirit and easy to adapt to new environment.
- Working position of students after graduation
- Specialist in the department of natural resource and environment of provinces or districts.
- Specialist in the Department of agriculture and rural development of provinces or districts.
- Teaching and research staffs in the institutes, universities having research and teaching of environment and resource specialization.
- Technical staffs in industrial parks and handicrafts.
- Technical staffs at the consultant agency for environmental impact assessment.

Capable of self study to improve knowledge, practice expertise, eligible to study master in the same field or closely related fields such as environmental management, environmental science, environmental engineering, land resources management.
